Thanks to work from these guys, PocketCiv has been developed to work on other platforms besides Windows. More information as this develops, however, until the tech savvy among us in Linux and Mac OS X contribute help on this, here's the instructions.
- Download and install Mono for your operating system here.
- Download PocketCivBase.zip from my site.
- Extract it.
- From a command prompt, navigate to the folder where you extracted PocketCivBase.zip.
- Type the following
mono PocketCiv.exe
You should get the welcome screen for the software and eventually get the software working.
If that doesn't work, try typing this:
export MONO_IOMAP=all
mono PocketCiv.exe
Please note that Linux/Mac OS X are supported, however, issues such as font size are still being looked into as PocketCiv is developed on a Windows PC in my spare time.
